It is also worthwhile to ask for other material than books and journals from the library. In the Main Library there is an extensive collection of Finnish ephemera (PÄÄ Fennica), which consists of annual reports, instructions, guides, regulations, circulars, programs, catalogues, price lists, brochures, advertisements, standards, patents, posters, entrance examination questions, etc. Most of these are not added in the Volter database. There are plenty of maps, music notes, commission reports, patent publications and among others archives of V. A. Koskenniemi and Antti Mikkola in the library.

As a rule there are very few videos, talking books, cassettes, LP or DVD records or other audiovisual material in Turku University Library.
