Electronic journals
Electronic journals are parallel publications to paper journals or independent, only published in the Internet. Journals can be browsed on screen by the number, or suitable articles can be searched with search modes. Full text articles can be read on screen. It is also often possible to print, save or email them. The Adobe Reader program must be installed for the reading of journal articles in PDF form.
There are about 17.800 titles of electronic journals in Turku University Library. It is possible to use them via Nelli portal. Most of them operate by IP identification that is to say it is possible to read them in the University of Turku network. Some of the journals have password identification and in those cases passwords are given in Nelli portal in the SFX menu of the journal.
The library has acquired electronic journals both as single orders and in large packages. Journal selection can be browsed in Nelli’s Find e-journal section. The full text availability of each e-journal can be found under the Info button or the SFX button after the name of the journal.
