Books
The collection consists of approximately 60 000 books in Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing. The loan period for the books is 28 days.
Course books
The library has Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing course books. The loan period for these books is 14 days. Each course book also has a reference copy available. This copy can only be borrowed for weekend / overnight. The overnight loans can be borrowed 2 hours before closing time. Course book reservation can be done by phone (02-3337536), email ((tylabo@utu.fi) or using the Course book reservation request.
Periodicals
There are approximately 500 printed periodicals in Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing. Periodicals can be borrowed for 14 days apart from the most recent issues (12 months) which are for library use only.
Electronic resources
Many books and periodicals can be found in electronic format. Customers can, for example, access over 2 500 electronic medical, dental and nursing journals.
Statistics
The library collection has printed statistics of Finnish, Scandinavian and international Health Science and Health Care.
Thesis
The library has all the masters, bachelors, licentiates and doctoral thesis published by the Faculty. They can also be borrowed.
Opera Medica Collection
The collection consists of medical literature published before 1827, mainly in German. Publications are not indexed in Volter database, information about the items can be found in card files in the library.
